New Website To Monitor Ticks

Spring weather means ticks are becoming more active again and with that comes the threat of Lyme disease for both humans and our pets.

A website which maps and identifies ticks has been created by a professor from Bishop’s University in Quebec.

Dr. Jade Savage says she wants to hear from local residents with their submissions including pictures of the ticks they find.

Anyone in Ontario is urged to submit information.

Savage says her team can identify ticks and provide feedback in a timely fashion often within 48 hours.
