New Board To Help Select SCOC Justices

The prime minister is announcing a new process to appoint justices to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Under the new system, an independent and non-partisan advisory board has been given the task of identifying suitable candidates. That board will be chaired by former Prime Minister Kim Campbell.

The board will review candidates who apply and will submit a shortlist of three to five individuals for consideration by the prime minister.
