More Funding For Local Infrastructure

The federal government is increasing funding for infrastructure projects in local communities.

Thunder Bay Rainy River MP Don Rusnak says communities in his riding have been pleading for more money for some time.

“It’s so hard for those small communities to raise the funds, with such a small tax base,” Rusnak points out.

The federal cost share of sewer, water, and other types of projects will increase from 50 percent to 60.

Funding for infrastructure projects is also increasing for Indigenous communities. (File Photo)
