Manslaughter Charge Laid Against Ignace Man

A 48-year old Ignace man is facing a charge of manslaughter in connection to the death of another man in Ignace.

Provincial police say they’ve been investigating the death of 37-year old Nathaniel Lacroix of Burlington, who was found in the morning of December 6th on West Street in Ignace.

Originally the accused had been charged with opioid trafficking, but Wednesday he was arrested again with the upgraded charge.

He’ll appear in court June 3rd.
