UPDATE: Ministry Of Labour Investigating Electrocution

The Ministry of Labour is investigating a man’s electrocution outside a residence in Northwood.

Police say the incident took place on Kensington Drive near Ironwood Avenue around 11:30 this morning.

The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment, his immediate condition has not been released.

A ministry spokesperson tells our newsroom a worker employed by Arbor Tech Expert Tree Service, was trimming a tree and made electrical contact with overhead powerlines.

An order was issued for the tree trimming to be stopped.

The ministry investigation is continuing.
