A 25-year-old man was injured during an assault that took place at the District Jail yesterday.
Police were dispatched to the jail shortly after 3 p.m. following reports of an incident that required police involvement.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Officers with the service’s Criminal Investigation Branch are now investigating.
