A LongLac man is thanking a power outage for making him $50,000 richer.
Robert Watson won the prize with Instant Lucky Aces from a variety store in Geraldton.
He says the power went out, so he decided to go out for some fresh air. That lead him to the store where he bought the winning ticket.
He plans on buying some property in LongLac and maybe buying a car. He adds if it wasn’t for the power going out, he never would have gone to the store.
