Young men in our community are learning about healthy relationships through a day-long gender-based violence workshop.
Almost 50 male teens in grade seven to ten in the Lakehead Public School Board took part in the training that aims to prevent violence against women and girl.
The training conference taught the youth the knowledge and skills they need to come kinder men.
The day-long event focused on respect, and consent and comes a couple of days before the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, December 6th.
