Local Woman Wins Lottery

A Thunder Bay woman knows the value of double checking lottery tickets before throwing them out.

Holly Campbell says she was at home, when she decided to look at her Instant Bejeweled ticket, before it was tossed in the garbage.

She won $75,000, and says she’ll splurge the money on her children and grandchildren.

The Ontario and Lottery Gaming Corporation says the ticket was bought at a Mac’s store on Cumberland Street.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
