Local Music For A Good Cause

Rootstock is back again this year in a virtual format.

The online concert will feature ten local musicians including The Lockyer Boys and Danielle Pollari.

Rootstock organizer Nancy Saunders talks about what can be expected from this years event.

“With the way things have gone with COVID, we decided that we wanted to do it again as an online event. We’ve got all new acts of local musicians. We’ve got some food package options as well, cocktail, and non-alcoholic drinks so people can add that to their tickets when they go on to our Eventbrite site.”

Ticket sales and donations will be going to a good cause, as Saunders explains.

“All the money that we raise from ticket sales goes to the artists, and any donations that are raised during the event goes to Roots and Harvest to support all of the work they do in the community.”

Roots to Harvest is a local non-profit that focuses on getting food to people who need it in the community.

Anyone interested in the event can purchase tickets on the Rootstock Eventbrite.

The virtual concert is set to kick off Saturday at 8pm.
