As Canada celebrates its 150th year, one local church is celebrating its own 100th birthday.
Northwest of the city, Lappe Lutheran Church rang in the new year with a special service on Sunday.
Chairman Doug O’Connor says Lappe Lutheran Church has been holding services in its current building since the 1920s but its congregation had been meeting for years previously.
