Lightning Strike Causes Community Hall Road Fire

No injuries after a lightning strike leads to a fire on Community Hall Road.

Firefighters responded to the call around 1:00 a.m. Saturday after initial calls to 911 indicated that severe weather was in the area.

The bolt of lightning struck the house and caused smoke to emanate from the basement.

Damage was limited to the basement, the exterior and the electrical system.

Synergy North crews assisted in dealing with the subsequent power outage.
