UPDATE: HWY 17 Back Open Northwest Of Thunder Bay

Travel is back open on Highway 17.

A jackknifed transport truck closed both directions near Sand Lake Road late Friday night.

There are no reports of injuries and the roadway returned to normal travel just before 10:00 a.m. Saturday

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
