Liberals To Focus On Cooperation: Hajdu

The new parliament in Ottawa will begin sitting on December 5th.

Thunder Bay Liberal MP Patty Hajdu indicates the government’s priorities will be those mentioned in their election platform including making life affordable for Canadian families, protecting the environment, and understanding those Canadians who did not vote Liberal.

The Liberal MP admits being part of a minority government situation will have its challenges, but notes cooperation is nothing new for her. She says as labour minister a number of pieces of legislation she introduced passed with the help of the NDP, the party Trudeau government will need to come together with if it wants to pass any bill.

Hajdu adds the prime minister “is encouraging collaboration.”
