Police Chief JP Levesque describes his return to work like riding a bicycle.
Levesque notes he’s been getting updates from Deputy Sylvie Hauth who acted as Chief in his absence.
“When I came back Sylvie was really good about trying to get me caught up but you can’t do that in a two or three hour meeting or even a day long meeting, so as things pop up I’ll be briefed on them.”
He adds he’s been welcomed back by the rank and file with hugs instead of handshakes.
Levesque took part in his first police service board meeting on Thursday.
In January, a judge dismissed charges of breach of trust and obstruction of justice against Levesque. His suspension was lifted shortly after. (Photo supplied)
