Thunder Bay’s labour community is coming together to remember workers killed or injured on the job.
It’s the International Day of Mourning, and once again there’ll be a service at the Injured Workers Monument at the Finlandia Club.
The theme this year stresses that violence and harrassment are not part of the job.
The service begins at 1:00. (File photo)
Every year millions of Ontarians go to work. And in 2017, 227 never made the commute home. April 28 marks the National #DayofMourning. A day dedicated to remembering those who have died, been injured or suffered illness in the workplace. pic.twitter.com/eVoPtW1twj
