Kennedy No Longer With Hospital

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre says Dr. Stewart Kennedy is no longer part of its executive team.

A leaked email indicates the hospital has parted ways with Kennedy, who until recently was leading its COVID-19 response.

It says he will not be serving in the role of Executive Vice President, and says Executive Vice President of People, Culture and Strategy Amanda Bjorn will take over as acting interim VP of Cancer Care Ontario, regional programs, supports and strategy and planning.

“We wish Dr. Kennedy well in his future endeavours. An announcement on the acting EVP Medical and Academics, will be made shortly,” says President and CEO Dr. Rhonda Crocker-Ellacott in the email.

Recently, Dr. Peter Voros replaced Kennedy as the head of COVID-19 incident management response.

The hospital’s communications team has not responded to a request for comments.
