On the economic front, the latest government figures show that the unemployment rate in Thunder Bay for the month of December increased to 5.8 per cent an almost half a per cent increase from November.
It’s the fourth month in a row that the jobless rate has increased in the city.
In Ontario the rate held steady at 7 per cent while in Canada it remained unchanged as well at 6.6 per cent.
