Input Needed To Hire Thunder Bay Police Chief

The Thunder Bay Police Services Board is looking for input in their search for a new Police Chief.

The public is being asked to fill out a survey to help determine what qualities including leadership, and experience, are needed in this role.

A statement from the TBPSB says, “Community feedback is vital to this selection process.”

Firm Odgers Berndston, has been hired to help the Board with the recruitment of the new Chief, and it will be reviewing the public’s responses to the survey.

Questions include:

  • From your perspective, what are the issues and challenges facing the Thunder Bay Police Service
today and over the next 2-3 years in terms of management and service to the community?
  • Within that context, what should be the priorities for the new Chief?
  • What skills, qualities, and experience should we be looking for in the new Chief?

The deadline for feedback is September 16th.
