Hydro Wants You To Social Distance From Paper Bills

Synergy North is asking residents to switch to electronic billing as a contactless delivery solution during the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Rob Mace says e-billing allows customers to get their bills without having to go to their mailbox.

“We know our customers are doing their part by staying home to help flatten the curve. says Mace. “Our hope is that by making the change to electronic billing, customers will enjoy the ease and convenience of receiving their bill directly to their personal device without making a trip to the mailbox.”

The call from Synergy North follows a plea from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

CUPW is asking residents to wash and disinfect mailboxes, handrails and door handles daily if possible to help stop the low chance of spread through the mail system.
