The Provincial government is mulling over whether to give all municipalities the power to set their own land transfer taxes.
Ontario Realtors say if that happens it could cost those buying or selling homes thousands of dollars more.
Mayor Keith Hobbs says he’s been pretty adamant on how he feels on the issue.
Hobbs suggests the Province come up with a different way to generate money for the City like getting the revenue from uncollected fines.
