There’s a new way for you to safely get a tick identified by the local health unit.
During the pandemic, the health unit has set up a box near the entrance to their office on Balmoral where you can drop off ticks to be identified.
Before you drop the specimen off you are asked to fill out an online form.
The health unit helps people figure out if the tick they’ve found is the type that carries Lyme disease.
