The federal Health Minister says while the second wave isn’t over yet, there is some encouraging news.
Patty Hajdu says Canadians are continuing to look out for each other in the pandemic.
“Over this past week, over 50,000 people have cancelled their flights and postponed travel. Thank you so much for protecting each other. Less travel means less risk for everyone,” Hajdu emphasizes.
However, Hajdu is reminding you that making it through the pandemic is a marathon, not a sprint.
“We still have to keep pulling together. Now’s not the time to let down your guard,” Hajdu says.
The Minister says while the country is making progress, there is still more work to do.
