It seems an outside group is interested in taking over Dease Pool.
Current River Councillor Andrew Foulds mentioned at last night’s City Council meeting that a group has approached the city, but can’t say more than that.
He unsuccessfully tried to delay the confirmation of Council’s decision to add the demolition of the pool to the 2020 budget at a cost of $260,000.
Foulds says the plans for the pool would have to be “pretty significant” for Council to change its mind about the demolition.
