Gas Smell Causes South End Evacuation

Turns out the release of gases from Resolute Forest Products caused the evacuation of some people in the south end this morning.

The Lakehead school board tells us students from Westgate high school were cleared from classes due to the smell, as well as other buildings in the area.

The students were eventually let back inside.

Thunder Bay police say schools in the south end have been put in a Shelter in Place status, meaning all air-handling units have been shutdown, the prevent outside air from coming inside.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
