A food drive is being held over the next two days in support of Shelter House.
Spokesperson Amber Prairie tells us they need tons of food just to feed the hundreds of people they feed.
“We go through 500 sandwiches a day, at least,” Prairie notes, “We do cook breakfast for our residents, lunch for the community, and dinner for the community, so you can imagine that’s a lot of food.”
She points out they feed between 150 and 200 people at each meal.
They are badly in need of peanut butter and jam, canned tuna and other staples.
You can donate from ten until four today and tomorrow at all three Metro locations.
