Five More Deaths Tied To COVID-19

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports five deaths related to coronavirus.

Wednesday’s somber number means 45 people have lost their lives to the virus since the start of the pandemic.

For the seventh straight resolved coronavirus cases (39) outnumber new ones (25).

The active case count drops to 286

  • Six people were infected by someone in their household
  • Six others were infected outside of the household
  • Ten cases have no known exposure
  • Three case causes are pending

At the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre 7 of the 30 patients that are being treated for COVID-19 are in the Intensive Care Unit.
