One person was taken to the hospital after a house fire in the 500 block of Wiley Street last night.
City firefighters say they were called to the scene around 7:00, and found heavy flames and smoke coming from a second-floor bedroom.
Fire crews had been told a young person was possibly trapped in the home, but fire officials say they managed to get out. The youth was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters say they quickly knocked the blaze down and kept the fire damage contained to the second floor.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
