No homes were damaged by multiple grass fires that broke out near West Arthur Street last night.
City firefighters were called out at 9:30 to the 20th Side Road.
They say the fires were burning alongside the train tracks, starting at Lynda Avenue and extending past 25th Side Road into Oliver Paipoonge.
The fire was visible along the CP Rail tracks near the Arthur Street overpass behind Fairview Road.
Nobody was hurt and there was no property damage even though the fire came uncomfortably close for some homeowners.
