$182,000 in federal funding is going to labour union LiUNA Local 607 so they can purchase a mobile classroom.
The funding is allowing the union to conduct training that will help up to 300 apprenticeships, including 15% women and 40% Indigenous people.
The federal funding paid for a portion of the mobile classroom.
The mobile training unit will be reaching out to a variety of communities around the region looking to help train skilled workers.
The funding was part of a larger announcement by the federal government for union training.
