Five organizations are benefiting from $1.2 million in federal government money.
It will be used for economic development and for what the government calls small business growth and job creation.
The biggest benefactor is the Nishnawbe-Aski Development Fund at $960,000. Executive Director Brian Davey says it’s money that will be used to provide loans to First Nation entrepreneurs.
The money for the development fund is part of a larger funding announcement of 1.2 million dollars which will also go to Thunder Bay Ventures, Matawa First Nations Management, Muskrat Dam First Nation and Lakehead University. (File Photo)
