A local man has dropped out of the race to become the candidate for the federal NDP in Thunder Bay-Superior North.
Jay Stapleton has withdrawn his name from consideration for the NDP nomination.
In a statement on social media, he says he will be fully supporting Nishnawbe Aski Nation’s Deputy Grand Chief Anna Betty Achneepineskum’s campaign.
Two nomination meetings will still be held, the first May 25th in Nipigon and the final the next day in Thunder Bay.
