There’s a move on to expand a northwestern Ontario dog rescue program into the south. The stray dogs are rescued from communities and with the help of Bearskin and Wasaya airlines, they send them to Thunder Bay where they are adopted out in the region. Organizer Mel Blanchette says it’s either that or they’re killed. Blanchette hopes to introduce the program in southern Ontario with the help of a major airline.
