From this morning’s “Today In The Bay”:
What kind of cell phone do you own?
iPhone / Samsung / another type of android phone?.
A lot of people feel their phone is a daily part of their lives. You? Let’s face it – you can do your banking from your phone / check your email / video call someone down the street or overseas / check the weather / investments / social media…etc
It turns out, some people don’t want to do that anymore. Check out this American study just released: a growing number of Americans are ditching their smartphones for “dumb-phones” that only ‘call’ and ‘text’. That’s it! Last year, over 3 million people made the switch to a simple device. Smartphone users spend an average of 4 hours a day on their phone. “Simple device users” are on their phone for maybe 45-60 minutes a day. All those ‘extras’ are gone….and users are feeling a sense of relief!
Would you ever consider a switch to these so-called, “simple devices / dumb-phones”?
