DIY Paper Plate Games

These DIY Paper Plate Games did not disappoint! From scouring the bin of leftover party supplies ( the odds and ends bin we all seem to have kinda like a junk drawer) to letting the paint dry this project took 1 hour to complete.

Materials Used:
1 balloon
3 empty rolls of paper towel
15 paper plates
Painters Tape
Paint *optional

  1. Ring Toss (4 paper plates / 1 empty roll of paper towel/ painters tape/paint): Cut a hole in the paper plate you will use as your base. Ensure you secure the empty paper towel roll with a fair amount of painters tape to your base from the bottom. You do not want any wiggle in the middle of a match (trust me). Hollow out the centers of the remaining three paper plates to use to play. Paint if desired. You can set your own rules of play with your family.
  2. Tic Tac Toe (10 paper plates / painters tape/paint): Using painters tape map out your desired gaming area to create 9 equal squares. Continue by putting identifying markers of X or O on your paper plates by keeping the ratio the same ( 5 plates of X’s / 5 plates of O’s). Feel free to use paint, makers or even stickers so each player can easily identify their game pieces. Who’s ready to play? Game on!
  3. Balloon Badminton ( 2 paper plates / 2 empty rolls of paper towel/ painters tape/paint/balloon): Using a fair amount of painters tape secure the 1 empty roll of paper towel to 1 paper plate. Repeat. Note: test your creation to ensure it’s secure before painting (what a mess that was). The only rule to this game (which we totally made up) is whoever lets the balloon drop is responsible for making supper!
