Thunder Bay’s Health Unit is reporting six more cases of COVID-19.
One is from one of the district communities, another is from a First Nation, and the rest are from Thunder Bay or the surrounding area.
One of the Thunder Bay area cases had no known exposure to someone with the virus, while the rest caught it through close contact with someone.
All are self-isolating.
This brings the district to 67 active cases.
Saturday was also Ontario’s second straight day reporting over 1,800 new COVID-19 cases.
The province set a new record Friday, and the latest total of 1,822 is only slightly lower.
There were 29 more deaths reported. The province currently has 13,538 active cases.
