CUPW Upset Over Back To Work Bill

As MPs in the House of Commons debate back to work legislation, there is outrage among members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

Thunder Bay CUPW official Brendon Roy tells us they are upset the Trudeau government is taking this step to end their series of rotating strikes.

The says “the fact they want to force us back means” the union is “unable to come to an agreement on their own terms” with Canada Post.”

About 250 local CUPW members are affected by the legislation.

The local postal union official believes Canada Post was purposely stalling during negotiations waiting for the back to work order.
