CUPE Makes Hydro Accusations

The Canadian Union of Public Employees is accusing the Liberal government of restricting the decisions of Hydro One’s board of directors in advance of the proposed sell-off of the utility.

In a letter to the Ontario Securities Commission written by a legal firm on behalf of CUPE, it says government recently removed all rights and powers of the board.

CUPE is asking the commission to re-instate all of the boards rights and its obligation to oversee and comment on the sell-off.
