So far so good for COVID-19 testing at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Now that the hospital is in control of all testing spokesperson Jackie Park tells us it has been going rather smoothly.
“Certainly the volume has started to go up. With children going back to school we’ve seen a real increase in the need in for testing of children (and) we’ve still able to manage as it stands right now,” says Park.
She says Thunder Bay has been doing very well as far as testing goes and we have some of the biggest numbers of tests per capita in the province.
However, Park suggests with winter coming there will need to be a community approach to testing and that not all testing will be able to take place at the hospital.
