COVID-19 cases are associated with a southside elementary school.
The Lakehead Public School Board reports it has been notified by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit that cases of the coronavirus have impacted several class cohorts associated with McKellar Park Central school.
The board says it is working with the health unit to investigate and manage any potential exposures in the school and any related setting like bus transportation.
It adds “At this time there is no evidence that the virus has spread in the school setting. This is not considered an outbreak.”
