College Hopes To Boost Enrolment

Confederation College is looking rebuild its student base as part of its strategic plan.

Enrolment took a bit of a hit because of the pandemic, especially with international students impacted by travel restrictions.

President Kathleen Lynch says they’ve also seen fewer students at their regional campuses like the Rainy River District location in Fort Frances.

“It’s been declining a bit, so we’re working on that. Some of it is because people access their education through our distance education model,” she points out.

Lynch says they also want to attract more Indigenous students.
