CNIB Hosting Night Steps Fundraiser

Thunder Bay’s chapter of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind is holding their Night Steps walk this evening at Marina Park.

Spokesperson Kelly Rooney tells us they’ll be using money that’s raised towards their new Accessible Technology Program.

“Our device training programs give participants the tools they need to unleash the power of technology through hands-on training, workshops and one-on-one support. It’s for people with vision loss so they can learn to use their smart phones and special apps for people with sight issues.”

Organizers would like to bring in $10,000 from tonight’s event.
