City Reviews Fall Election

If you voted online in last fall’s municipal election, you’re far from alone.

The city is now out with a review of the election, saying 63% of us cast our ballots either online or by phone.

That’s slightly higher than the City Clerk predicted would vote by those methods, when he spoke with us just before the election.

The report to City Council notes telephone or online voting was popular with all age groups, and recommends keeping it for future elections.

It also says cutting the number of in-person polling stations in half didn’t cause any major problems.
