Children Of George Floyd Urge Peace

The children of George Floyd, the unarmed black man who died while detained by police in Minneapolis, are praising peaceful protesters around America.

They say while they appreciate the support shown, they’re also urging protesters to avoid violence.

There were stark contrasting images nationwide between police and demonstrators this weekend, with one officer hugging an upset black youth, as well as other pictures showing police kneeling with protesters. However, there is video showed police pushing protesters and police vehicles driving through crowds.

Multiple media outlets showed protesters gathered in front of the White House all weekend long. President Trump has also tweeted he is calling the activist group Antifa a terrorist organization.

In Minnesota, a 35-year-old man is in custody after a tanker truck rolled through a group of demonstrators gathered on a freeway in Minneapolis.

The highway was being shut down to allow for the protest at the time.

No injuries were reported. The driver is in custody facing a charge of assault.

Meantime, a third straight night of curfews has now ended in the Twin Cities, with about 150 people arrested for curfew violations.

Officials says 362 similar arrests have been made since Friday.
