Charges Mount After Police Stop Speeding Car

A 42-year old Thunder Bay woman is facing a drug and alcohol charge, as well as obstructing an officer, after they pulled over a speeding car on Lanark Crescent.

They noticed the driver Tuesday morning around 9 o’clock, which they say also had expired license plates dating back to 2004.

Police say she gave a false name, and found drug paraphernalia, drugs which she confessed to using that morning. There were other signs of impairment as well.

She was released with conditions, and a future court date.
