Charges Laid After Alleged Assault

Assault and Break and Enter charges have been levied against two Thunder Bay residents after an incident in the south end.

Police say they were called to an address at the 100 block of May Street, Tuesday night just after 9 o’clock, to find a man and woman had broken into a building.

Police add they assaulted a witness who confronted them, and then rode away on bicycles.

A 51-year old woman and 78-year old man were arrested about 20 minutes later on Simpson Street, and released soon after with promises to appear in court.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
