Changes Proposed For Highway Traffic Act

Thunder Bay’s Police Service Board is getting up to speed on proposed changes to the Highway Traffic Act.

Traffic Sgt. Glenn Porter feels the Ontario legislation would give officers more enforcement power.

If the legislation is passed bike riders will be able to use paved shoulders and drivers would have to give more room to cyclists on when passing them.
