Chamber Likes Ontario Budget

Thunder Bay’s Chamber of Commerce is mostly happy with the province’s latest budget.

There’s just one area President Charla Robinson would like to have seen in the document and that’s an exemption for Northwestern Ontario from the aviation fuel tax.

She says it’s something that was promised in 2014 and they will continue to work towards getting it exempt in this region.

Robinson is welcoming more support programs for apprentices, skills training, and free tuition for low income students.

She’s also happy to see the government mention cutting red tape for businesses. (File photo)
