The Catholic School Board is topping the list of most improved elementary schools in Thunder Bay.
The Fraser Institute’s annual report card on Ontario schools, released today, ranked St. Margaret School and Crestview Public Schools the best in the city. That puts St. Margaret and Crestview tied in 172nd place on a provincial list of over 3,000.
Rounding out the top five locally are St. Francis School, Holy Cross School, Woodcrest Public School, and St. Thomas Aquinas. A total of eight Catholic schools were placed in our area’s top 10.
And the city’s worst goes to McKellar Park School, for getting a poor grade on tests of reading, writing, and math.
