Carter Hutton Retires From The NHL

Thunder Bay goaltender Carter Hutton is calling it a career.

Hutton last played an NHL game on October 25th, 2021 as a member of the Arizona Coyotes.

He also spent 10 years with the Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues and Buffalo Sabres.

Hutton was traded to the Maple Leafs this past season but didn’t play for the club.

He played in 235 regular-season games, compiling a 94-90-27 record to go along with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
